So this is a new thing and I'm not sure on a title for what this new blogging series will be just yet (suggestions are welcome). If you didn't know it's Mental Health Awareness week so I thought it would be the perfect time to launch this project.

I've spoken about mental health a few times on here so you'll know its a topic I am passionate about. That sounds really bad when phrased like that but I find it very important. There are so many people, especially younger people who are suffering in silence because of the stigma society still holds over mental health issues. I want this project to keep the conversation going and let others know that they aren't alone at all. It would be so easy to keep this blog very fashion and beauty related which I love talking about but I feel I can dedicate a bit of my internet space for some important issues too.

My aim is to post a post a month on the topic however, the post's for the most part won't be coming from me. I took to twitter to see who would like to be involved and I had a lot more responses that I thought I would which made me extremely happy to see there are people who also believe in keeping the conversation alive.

What should you expect to see? A range of things such as short films, poems, personal stories, music and more. I don't want to be a party pooper and be like HERE ARE THE RULES YOU MUST OBEY, but please take note that this issue can be sensitive and personal to those contributing, all I ask is that you remain respectful to their stories. (I know you will because you're a good bunch!)

If you would like to contribute please send them to me via @tudyboulert or trudyjohanna@outlook.com.

If you'd like to do some more reading on mental health or need some support, here are some of my favourite charities!

  1. This is SUCH a great idea for a series, there really does need to be more awareness raised about mental illness. Looking forward to your posts on it!
